Welcome to the 17 th International Congress of the Polish Neuroscience Society.
We are delighted to cordially invite the neuroscience community to our biannual Congress, which will be held in Wrocław, Poland, from September 2 nd to 5 th , 2025. Founded in 1991, the Polish Neuroscience Society has played a pivotal role in uniting researchers from diverse branches of neuroscience and promoting international cooperation. Regular Congresses serve as a forum for scholars to share exciting discoveries, exchange ideas, explore collaboration opportunities, and create novel research alliances. The scientific program features plenary lectures, workshops, and symposia curated to showcase the latest advancements and challenges in neuroscience. We are dedicated to cultivating an environment encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and stimulating interactions with discipline leaders worldwide.
For the next Congress, we will meet in Wrocław, the heart of Lower Silesia, marked by a complex history and multinational heritage. Wrocław has long traditions in scientific excellence, with more than 10 Nobel prize winners born, studied, or lived in the city. The Department of Psychiatry, established in the late 19th century, was led by godfathers of neurobiology, including Hans Wernicke and Alois Alzheimer. Nowadays, Wrocław experiences rapid growth hosts innovation centers of the world’s most important companies and emerges as an important hub on the European map of science & technology.
The event, organized jointly by the Polish Neuroscience Society and the Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development with the participation of Wrocław universities, will offer an engaging social program, providing attendees with opportunities to network, explore the cultural offerings of Wrocław, and build lasting connections with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
We look forward to welcoming you to Wrocław in 2025 for what we're sure will be a memorable and enriching scientific gathering.

Call for symposia
The call for symposia for the 17th International Congress of the Polish Neuroscience Society is now open! The meeting will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, from September 2 nd to 5 th , 2025. We strongly encourage neuroscience community members to submit symposia proposals according to the guidelines provided below. We are convinced that your contribution will help us create an excellent scientific program for our biannual event!
Symposia submitters should be FENS members, though this is not an absolute requirement.
Each symposium should match the slot of 2 hours in total.
It is recommended that each symposium consist of four talks focusing on presenting original research
data. Each talk should last 25 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes allocated for discussion. It is
recommended that two talks in each symposium are delivered by international speakers.
The conference fee and accommodation will be covered for international speakers, however,
symposium chairs are encouraged to cover the travel costs. Diversity of age, gender, and affiliation
of the speakers will be preferred.
Any special requests with regard to presentation equipment or time allocation must be indicated in
the proposal.
Members of the Scientific Committee can neither propose a symposium nor be speakers in a
symposium.
A symposium proposal must include:
- the name, affiliation, and full contact details of the submitter(s), to act as a symposium chairperson(s)
- title (max. 15 words) and a short description of the subject (max. 50 words),
- list of 4 speakers, with contact details, who expressed their consent to participate.
- titles and short summaries of the proposed presentations (max. 120 words each including title), with 1-2 citations
- disclosure of potential conflicts of interest
- GDPR statement
Symposia proposals should be sent as a .pdf document to: congress2025@ptbun.org.pl before October 30 th, 2024. Please include the words "Symposium Submission" in the email title. The Scientific Committee will notify the submitter about symposium acceptance within 30 days of the deadline.
